New Hire Information
As a new hire, you have 30 days from your start date to enroll in benefits. Benefits begin the first of the month following 30 days of employment. For example, if you are hired on November 1, you are eligible for benefits December 1. For questions about your benefits or claims, email us at HRSupport@racetrac.com.

Adding a Dependent?
You can add your dependent(s) when you enroll in coverage. After you complete your enrollment, you must provide proof of your dependent(s). Once your benefit elections are submitted, a separate task will appear in your Workday inbox to upload legal documentation (such as birth, marriage, or adoption certificate). Your benefits enrollment won’t be finalized until the dependent verification is complete.

Who is Eligible?
If you’re wondering whether you are eligible to receive certain benefits, refer to page 4 in our Benefits Guide! You can also enroll your spouse or eligible dependents in plans for which you are eligible. Dependents are defined as natural and adoptive children, stepchildren and children from whom you have been named legal guardian. Your dependents are covered for benefits through the end of the month in which they turn 26 (different guidelines apply for those who are disabled). Only legal spouses are eligible.

Remember, after your new hire enrollment period, you will not have the opportunity to change coverage until the next Annual Benefits Open Enrollment period. Employees only have 30 days from the date of a life event to make any changes. For example, if you get married on October 1, you have 30 days starting October 1 to make changes.
